Funeral Prayers Held for Martyrs of Indian Attacks in Multiple Locations

Rawalpindi (Capital Nama) – Funeral prayers were held at multiple locations for those martyred in the recent Indian missile attacks. According to DG ISPR, 26 Pakistani citizens were martyred and 46 others injured during missile strikes launched by India on the night of May 6th and 7th.

The funeral prayers for 13 martyrs of the missile attack were held at the Dring Stadium in Bahawalpur. These martyrs had been killed in a cowardly attack on the peaceful and unarmed citizens at the Subhan Allah Mosque in Bahawalpur. The funeral prayers and burial were attended by a large number of the martyrs’ families and local residents.

Previously, the official funeral prayers for the martyrs were also conducted at Dring Stadium.

As reported by Jang, the funeral prayer for 80-year-old Muhammad Yaqub, who was martyred in an attack on the Billa Mosque in Paggra, was offered at the University Ground in Muzaffarabad. The ceremony was attended by Chief Justice of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir High Court, Justice Sadaqat Hussain Raja, Senior Justice Liaquat Shaheen, and other judges of the High Court. Additionally, members of the Azad Kashmir government, legislators, senior civil and military officials, opposition leader Khawaja Farooq Ahmed, and Information Minister Syed Mazhar Saeed also participated in the funeral.

Information Minister Syed Mazhar Saeed stated that India’s acts of terrorism have united the entire nation, and once again, the Kashmir issue has been brought to the global stage.
