Bollywood superstar Govinda’s wife has approached the court to divorce the actor after 38 years of marriage, which was also confirmed by Govinda’s manager.
According to Samaa News, Sunita Ahuja has filed a divorce petition against Govinda in the Bandra Family Court under various sections of the Hindu Marriage Act 1955. Sunita Ahuja has also allegedly made serious allegations, including extramarital affair, abuse of rights and infidelity.

Indian media claimed that the divorce case was filed in December 2024, on which the court summoned Govinda on May 25. The actor’s wife continued to appear in court punctually, but Govinda has been continuously absent. Despite repeated notices from the court, Govinda neither appeared in the hearings nor attended the counseling sessions.
The court has been trying to settle matters between the two since June this year, but due to Govinda’s lack of interest, this could not happen. Recently, Sunita Ahuja said in a sultry tone on her YouTube channel that I always prayed for a happy marriage, I got Govinda and two beautiful children. It may be recalled that news of tension between the couple gained momentum in February when Sunita removed ‘Ahuja’ from her name on social media and it was also revealed that she and Govinda have been living separately for years.
