TikToker Samiya Hijab has come forward with serious allegations that a young man from Lahore tried to kidnap her after she rejected his marriage proposal. In a video message posted on social media, she said the man had been threatening her for the past three months and pressuring her to marry him.
Hijab explained that the situation turned dangerous when the suspect came outside her home at a time when her mother was unwell and her brother was not present. She claimed the man attempted to snatch her phone, dragged her towards his car, and tried to force her inside. According to her, she even has a recording of the incident.
While speaking about her ordeal, she also mentioned the tragic case of her friend, TikToker Sana Yousaf, who was shot dead in Islamabad earlier this year after rejecting a marriage proposal. Hijab said she did not want to meet the same fate and stressed that women must raise their voices against such threats.
She confirmed that Islamabad Police had recorded her statement and registered a report. She expressed hope that the suspect would be arrested soon. Hijab also appealed to the Inspector General of Police in Islamabad to take strong action, saying many women are facing similar situations but remain silent due to fear.
The incident has raised concerns about the safety of women in Pakistan, especially those who face harassment or pressure after refusing marriage proposals. Social media users have also shown support for the Hijab, calling for strict measures to protect women and punish those involved in such crimes.
