Swabi (Capital Nama) 42 people have died in Swabi district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa due to rains and cloudburst.
According to details, 17 houses were completely destroyed due to cloudburst in Dalori Bala village of Swabi a few days ago, 40 people were buried under the rubble in the destroyed houses.
Deputy Commissioner Swabi Nasrullah said during the conversation that ‘the rescue operation has been completed in the affected area, 40 people have been pulled out of the rubble, including 37 bodies and 3 injured’.
According to the Deputy Commissioner, ‘4 people died due to cloudburst in Sarkoi Payan, while a youth was swept away by the flood at Karnal Sher River, whose body was recovered by rescue teams yesterday.’
The Deputy Commissioner said that ‘a total of 42 deaths have been reported in Swabi district due to rains and cloudburst, 17 houses in Dalori Bala and one house in Sarkoi were completely destroyed by cloudburst, while a total of 27 houses have been damaged. Rehabilitation work is underway in the affected area of Dalori Bala.’
