Foreign Minister Telephonic Contact with Saudi and Iranian Counterparts

Islamabad (Capital Nama) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has had a telephonic contact with his Saudi and Iranian counterparts, in which the Foreign Minister apprised both leaders of the current situation in Pakistan and India.

According to “Geo News”, Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan contacted Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar. Ishaq Dar apprised the Saudi Foreign Minister of the decisions of the National Security Committee and rejected India’s baseless allegations. Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar reiterated Pakistan’s resolve to give a strong response to any aggression.

Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar had a telephonic conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Syed Abbas Araqchi and appreciated Iran’s efforts to reduce tension in the region.

The Foreign Office said that the Pakistani Foreign Minister briefed his Iranian counterpart on the current situation between Pakistan and India and rejected India’s allegations as baseless. The Foreign Minister warned against India’s attempts to further worsen the situation and expressed his best wishes for the success of the Iran-US talks to be held in Muscat tomorrow.
