Former Australian Cricketer Michael Clarke Suffers from Cancer

Former Australian cricketer Michael Clarke, who is battling cancer, has informed fans about his current health status. According to the Daily Mail, Michael Clarke is facing skin cancer and has had to undergo several surgeries in the past few years.

In a post on Instagram, where he shared his pictures, he also advised cricket fans to take care of their health and get checked. He shared a black and white picture of himself sitting in an office with a plaster on his nose. Along with this, he wrote, ‘Another day, another cancer removed.’

The 44-year-old former cricketer also tagged his surgeon Dr. Bush Soliman in this post and wrote that he is the best expert in his field. He had said some time ago that he was so scared of the effects of the disease that he felt he shouldn’t go near his daughter Kelsey Lee. Speaking to the Telegraph in 2023, he said that it scared me a lot, I’m a father, I don’t want to go anywhere. According to him, ‘The most important thing is to make sure that I’m helping my seven-year-old daughter and I think I’ve set a good example for her.’

He blames his illness on the sports activities in which he spent many hours in the sun. He says, ‘Imagine fielding a whole day in India, which would have required eight hours in the sun. Most people try to avoid the sun by wearing green hats, but their ears and faces are exposed, while their arms are also bare because of the T-shirt. Earlier this year, he shared a photo in which he was sitting in a hospital gown and wrote, “Skin cancer, go get checked too.” He had a surgery in March 2022 in which the effects of cancer were removed from his forehead. Michael Clarke, a father of one daughter, showed signs of skin cancer in 2006. He said in an interview in 2018 that he gets his skin checked every six and 12 months.
