Four Policemen Hurt in Naran Firing

Four policemen were injured late Sunday night after unidentified gunmen opened fire on a police vehicle at the Gattidas check post in the limits of Naran police station.

Police officials said the attackers were hiding in the nearby mountains and targeted the vehicle during a routine patrol. The sudden firing caused panic in the area, leaving four police personnel wounded in the exchange of fire.

Rescue teams from the Kaghan Development Authority quickly reached the spot and shifted the injured officers to Naran Hospital through Rescue 1122 ambulances. Later, the injured were moved to King Abdullah Teaching Hospital in Mansehra for better medical care.

Soon after the attack, a heavy contingent of police reached the site and began a large-scale search operation. Authorities confirmed that Chilas police had also been engaged in a joint effort to track down the unknown assailants.

The incident has raised security concerns in the region, and the search operation is still ongoing to trace the attackers.
