Met Office Predicts Onset of New Monsoon Spell

The tenth period of monsoon rainfall is projected to begin nationwide from September 6–10, with sporadic showers anticipated in different areas, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department.

The government predicts that from September 6 to 9, rains will likely occur in several Sindhi cities, with some regions seeing very heavy downpours.

From September 6 to 8, rain is also predicted in Islamabad and a number of Punjabi districts. Rainfall is possible in some areas of Balochistan from September 7 to 9.

According to the department, between September 7 and September 9, rainfall is anticipated in various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In some places of Sindh, urban flooding is still a possibility, and rain can cause landslides in higher elevations.
