Pakistan and UAE Sign Key MoUs

Islamabad – Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have signed multiple Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) aimed at deepening cooperation in various sectors. The signing ceremony was attended by Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and UAE’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

According to Dunya News, the MoUs cover cultural cooperation, consular affairs, and business collaboration. A cultural cooperation agreement was signed between Pakistan’s National Heritage & Culture Division and the UAE’s Ministry of Culture. Another MoU was signed for the formation of a joint committee on consular affairs between the two countries’ foreign ministries.

Additionally, an MoU was signed for the establishment of a UAE-Pakistan Joint Business Council between the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry and the UAE Chambers of Commerce & Industry.

Earlier, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrived at the Foreign Office where Ishaq Dar warmly received him. The two leaders exchanged greetings and introduced their respective delegations.

During the reception, Ishaq Dar stated, “Pakistan and the UAE share brotherly relations. We hope this visit proves beneficial for both nations.” Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed gratitude for the warm welcome, adding, “We aim to further strengthen ties with Pakistan. Pakistani people have played a vital role in the UAE’s progress, and we will discuss trade, investment, and other areas of cooperation.”

Sheikh Abdullah is currently on a two-day official visit to Pakistan, with a focus on enhancing cooperation in various fields.
