Islamabad: Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has issued a stern warning, stating that the country is fully prepared for the “next level” if tensions escalate further. Speaking to media, Asif cautioned that if, God forbid, a nuclear situation arises, even bystanders will not be spared from its devastating consequences.

According to Express News, the minister emphasized that a war between two nuclear powers would not remain limited to a single attack and should be a matter of serious concern for the entire world.
Earlier, Khawaja Asif posted a poignant verse by poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz on X (formerly Twitter), writing:
“Jo woh qarz rakhte thay jaan par, woh hisaab aaj chuka diya”
The minister’s remarks come amidst heightened regional tensions, signaling Pakistan’s readiness to respond firmly if provoked.
