Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has declared that Pakistan has given a powerful and fitting response to Indian aggression, stating that the innocent blood spilled in recent attacks has been avenged. He also contacted key political leaders to brief them on the country’s successful retaliatory operation.
According to Capital Nama, PM Shehbaz held telephonic conversations with top political figures including PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Barrister Gohar, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Hafiz Naeem, Khalid Magsi, and Chaudhry Salik Hussain. He took them into confidence regarding Pakistan’s response to India’s provocations.
“Alhamdulillah, the Pakistan Armed Forces gave a strong and coordinated response,” said the Prime Minister. He noted that while India rejected neutral investigations into the Pahalgam incident and launched missile and drone strikes on Pakistan, the country responded with patience and resolve.

He added, “India targeted innocent civilians, but our brave forces have responded forcefully. Today, we have avenged the blood of the innocent. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the nation and our valiant troops for this successful operation. We are determined to thwart India’s malicious designs.”
The political leadership praised the military’s professionalism, strategic restraint, and courage, assuring full unity and support during this critical time. Prime Minister Shehbaz also expressed gratitude for their solidarity.
The Prime Minister is expected to address the nation later today regarding the developments.
