Jhelum – Minister of State for Railways Bilal Azhar Kayani on Sunday hailed the reduction in electricity prices as a significant achievement in the government’s ongoing efforts to curb inflation and provide relief to the people.
Speaking to media in Dina, Jhelum, Kayani assured the people of Sindh that not a single drop of their rightful share of water would be compromised. “We will sit with our coalition partner, the Pakistan Peoples Party, and engage in political, technical, and policy-level discussions to resolve issues regarding canal waters,” he said.
He reaffirmed that under the leadership of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and current Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Pakistan Muslim League (N) is committed to continuing its relief efforts for the public.
According to NNI, Kayani credited the 2022 PDM-led coalition government with putting Pakistan’s economy back on track. “With the cooperation of the PPP, our journey to serve the people will continue,” he stated. He also referenced Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar’s assurance in the National Assembly that canal water issues would be addressed in consultation with the PPP.
Highlighting the PML-N’s commitment to farmers, Kayani said, “We are the guardians of farmers’ interests. We will never allow any harm to the farmers of Sindh or anywhere in Pakistan.” He noted that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz were leading historic initiatives for agricultural growth and rural development.
One of the key initiatives, he added, was sending 1,000 young Pakistanis to China for training in modern agriculture techniques. “These master trainers will help lead a new agricultural revolution in the country,” Kayani said. He also mentioned programs like the “Kisan Card” and “Agri Malls” as steps toward empowering farmers.
During his visit, Kayani also inaugurated a newly restored road from Nakodar Chowk to Mirabad in Dina after the completion of development work.
