Actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley Lost Her Voice for 2 Years

New York – Actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley, 53, lost her voice for nearly two years due to a health issue. It happened in November 2022 when she was speaking at an Alzheimer’s fundraiser event. While talking to guests, she suddenly couldn’t speak at all.

For weeks, Kimberly could only whisper. Later, doctors found she had a condition called muscle tension dysphonia. This happens when the muscles around the vocal cords become tight and stop working properly. One of her vocal cords was also partially paralyzed.

She tried many treatments including medicine, hypnosis, and even a psychic, but nothing worked. Then, in August 2024, she had a 3-hour surgery. Right after the surgery, her voice came back.

Kimberly said she stayed strong by writing, meditating, and exercising. She advises anyone facing similar problems to see a doctor as soon as possible.

Now, she is hosting the TV show “Farmer Wants a Wife.” Her husband, country singer Brad Paisley, also appeared on the show to give dating advice. Kimberly says their strong marriage is built on laughter and not taking things too seriously.
